I've shared before how much we want to keep our home free from an over abundance of plastic toys from China. Our home will always be full of arts, music, and books, I want it to be a place where creativity freely flows. This simple project is just the beginning of many many more!
She loves how beautiful the water glistens with the sparkle of her pretty glitter. When she shakes a few of the bottles the beads will make music to her ears. It's a wonderful thing to watch her learn.
I picked up the following items at Target:
- Six Pack of Voss Water
- Handmade Modern Glitter Set
- Gel Food Coloring
- A Pink Storage Container from the Dollar Section
We used Olive Oil in a few of ours and I already had the glass beads.
After I drank all the water I soaked them in hot soapy water to remove all the glue residue.
In three of the bottles I added Olive Oil.
In a few of the bottles I added the glass beads.
I added food coloring and glitter to each bottle. This is the simplest project!
She had a lot of fun playing with each bottle. I placed one in the storage container because I thought it may be leaking a bit of water. She noticed it and had to roll over to see why the one bottle was not with the rest! I love her inquisitiveness.
I'm not sure what our next project will be, but I'll share whatever it happens to be here!
XO
