My New Favorite Fragrance | REPLICA Beach Walk

This fragrance is perfect for hot summer days! We are going to be strolling around our town's little fair today, then off to a Thai dinner and a movie tonight. I'll be wearing this one. It reminds us of an evening stroll on the California beaches. Ry loves it as much as I do. He likes that it's a light scent and great for the heat of summer.

Top Notes
Bergamote
Pink Pepper
Lemon

Middle Notes
Ylang Ylang
Transluzone
Heliotrope
Coconut Milk

Base Notes
Musc
Cedar wood
Benzoin

I really want to try Fun Fair Evening with base notes of white musk, tahitian vanilla, and caramel. Yum! I love vanilla and caramel scents.

I've linked all the REPLICA scents below. They have the best names that bring back so many memories, like Lazy Sunday Morning and Lipstick On

Happy Saturday to you!

Non-Toxic Nail Polishes

Lately I've been thinking about every little thing I eat, drink, breathe, and put on my body. I definitely don't want to put "The Toxic Trio" ingredients often found in nail polish on my fingers. The three main toxic ingredients that I plan to stay away from are: Dibutyl Phthalate, Toluene, and Formaldehyde. An even healthier step is to find "5 Free" polishes made without: Dibutyl Phthalate, Toluene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin and Camphor.

All these awful chemicals can cause a plethora of issues from skin irritation to more serious reproductive problems, along with allergic reactions and nervous system side effects. Why, why, do they even sell these products?

Top 5 Toxic Chemicals to Avoid:

  • Dibutyl Phthalate: Also known as DBP, Dibutyl Phthalate keep nail polish from chipping. It is an endocrine disruptor, toxic to the reproductive system and is linked to obesity.
  • Toluene: Toluene helps nail polish go on smoothly and is toxic to the nervous system as it can impair breathing, cause nausea, cause developmental damage to the fetus, and is linked to malignant lymphoma.
  • Formaldehyde: Formaldehyde is a huge carcinogen and normally used to embalm dead bodies.
  • Formaldehyde Resina:  similar to Formaldehyde, but not as toxic. This chemical is used as a nail strengthener, but also a skin allergen and can cause dermatitis.
  • Camphor: Exposure to Camphor in large doses, especially through inhalation, can be toxic and cause irritation, nausea, dizziness, and headaches. When ingested can be linked to seizures and in rare cases cause liver damage when applied to skin.

TEN Baby-BEAUTIFUL Nurseries

Hello to you, my dear! Today I'm bringing you TEN baby-beautiful nurseries. I find myself dreaming up our baby's nursery often as we embark on this journey to Baby Smith. I'm really looking forward to the day that we can transform our office into a nursery for our little tot, so until then I'm going to feel inspired by all the bright and airy ones I'm bringing you today.

And about our IVF cycle and our journey to Baby Smith...we are still in the praying and "waiting" stage and hoping to have news for you soon. I read somewhere that couples going through infertility treatments have a parenting starting line that starts sooner than others. Oh boy is that the truth. The love, worry, faith, prayers, and patience starts much sooner. Honestly, I wouldn't change it for anything though. This journey has only made us stronger and more faithful. As always, we greatly appreciate all of your thoughts and every single prayer.

It's hard to pick a favorite, huh? My favorite is probably the one by Emily Henderson (the last three photos). I pretty much love everything she does. She is my very favorite designer and such a creative woman. Someday I'm going to be shopping for all of this stuff and that makes my heart skip a beat.

If you love the idea of animal artwork in your nursery you have to check out The Animal Print Shop

My mom thought this was hilarious. This woman's face after childbirth when she found out she had a boy instead of girl. I can't even imagine bringing a little boy home to a nursery I had made for a little girl!

I found this vintage children's clothing store on Etsy, it's all darling and definitely what I envision for our baby someday.

This Pinterest board has been the best thing for my soul during our journey to Baby Smith.

Wishing you and yours a very happy start to the summer!

Love to you xo
