Family Photos at the Christmas Tree Farm

A few weeks ago we drove about 45 minutes away to a Christmas tree farm called Cedar Valley Forest. It was golden hour when we pulled into 40 acres of towering oak & cedar trees with a pond right at the entrance that had white ducks floating on it. It was so beautiful & special. Just a pinch of magic to start our December. In 15 minutes our photographer, Hallie Fry, managed to snap over 40 amazing photos. This year I finally did Christmas cards again.

This holiday season has been a different one, but we're still making memories that I want to keep close to my heart forever. Two little Elves - Poppy Poppy + Little Girl - arrived from the North Pole to make magic for Magnolia every morning. We started an Advent calendar tradition and we love watching her open the drawer every morning as we countdown to Christmas. Last weekend we dressed up fancy & had dinner on the Country Club Plaza before driving around to see all the huge houses decorated with bright lights. We've been doing lots of DIYs and crafts, eating more chocolate than we should be, and we've watched all the Christmas movies. Next week we have our Annual Gingerbread House Decorating Party with the cousins! I've only wrapped three Christmas gifts so far, and have a bunch to go. Also, in the fridge I've got some dairy-free egg nog & Baileys Almande for a delightful martini to enjoy by the twinkling Christmas trees.

Christmas cards hot off the press, literally, we had to have these overnighted so we could have them mailed out in for Christmas.

For fun I asked Magnolia some Christmas questions to see what her sweet responses would be...looks like we need to work on the Reindeer names.

What is your favorite Christmas food? Ice Cream

Where does Santa live? The North Pole

What is the best part of Christmas? The presents

What is on your Christmas list? A robe, vanity, dress, make-up (her list is very long but that was what she listed off this morning)

What are some of Santa's reindeers? Ummmm....REINDEER

What will mommy & daddy get for Christmas? "Daddy will get a headband & I can't tell you what you'll get."

What do you think is Santa's favorite food? HOT CHOCOLATE

What color is Rudolph's nose? Red

Wishing you and yours the most festive week ahead. xo
