End of October & Life Lately

Brrrrrrr.....Kansas City is under a winter weather advisory this morning. Magnolia went to bed with so much anticipation about the snow headed our way. I woke up to her yelling "IT'S SNOWING IT'S SNOWING!!!" as she peeked out the windows. She ran to her room & got her snow suit, came back and had the whole day planned, with snowman building & lots of hot chocolate on the agenda. We don't even have an inch yet and she is on our deck - in her sandals & Christmas nightgown - crunching around in it!!! She's singing "Let it Go" and my heart can barely handle it. I know she is dreaming about the snow castle she wants to build with her tiny little hands, just like Elsa did in Frozen. I also look at her & feel amazed by her passionate love of the cold & give credit to the fact that she was once frozen time. Our little IVF golden egg miracle!!! 

The dark & cold weekend with snow today has me dreaming about Christmas. I always say when Halloween comes down Christmas goes up! Twinkling Christmas lights & all the joy of the season is so close I can feel it. Soooo before I get too far ahead of the season I want to share a little bit of our last week. It was filled with spooky Halloween treats, a trip to the pumpkin patch, and a pumpkin carving party at my sisters. Along with our favorite day of the week - ballet class! Valentine was also turned into a pink fluff ball looking just like cotton candy!!!

Yesterday was a "no plans" Sunday. We stayed home in our jammies with movies on all day cuddled up by the warm fire. Mags & I made these little spooky strawberry wafer treats for fun & plan to make a bunch more for our BOO Bash on Saturday. 

My mom & Mags made these fall harvest cupcakes! 

This cousin crew is the absolute sweetest. I'm forever grateful that they have one another! 

And the Doc is In...I'm quite proud of my work!

Very soon I have a blog post planned to share a little tour of our home. It's been almost a year since we've lived here & I can't wait to share all we've done in a dedicated post.

When she got home from the groomers I was trying to snap some photos of her & the lighting around her created the coolest flares. She's an angel pup!

 

Maggie Mermaid & I always do a little shopping + lunch after her ballet class. She is a chocolate lover!!! And she likes the good stuff & even the dark chocolates. We can't wait to take her to Christopher Elbow in downtown Kansas City this Christmas season. 

We have a very strong feeling ballet is going to be a lifelong passion for this girl. She shines in class & I have to hold back the proud mama tears. 

Hard to believe Halloween is only FIVE days away!!! Thankfully Kansas City weather is going to be a perfect sunny 60 degrees. I know all the babes need some fun & excitement to look forward to after such a bizarre year. We are hosting a Boo Bash & I'm planning to do these Mystery Boxes for the kids.
