Running in daddy's sprinkler sparks the joy in her eyes! On the 4th of July it rained off & on all day long. We were sitting around just waiting & waiting for it to stop so we could get the celebration started. I had a flashback of my childhood when my mom would let us run around in the rainstorms & it was one of my earliest & happiest memories. I sent Magnolia out in her diaper to play in the rain shower & I'm sure she had just as much fun as I did as a little girl. It was magical!
And the babes on the 4th. Magnolia is still talking about the firecrackers!
We went to a few sunset concerts & kept the kids up way past their bedtimes. It was totally worth it & we all had so much fun. The kids danced under the twinkle lights & the adults sipped on bubbly wine & beer & it was just a really good time.
Magnolia & I went on a day date to my brother's French restaurant. We sat at the bar & sipped on mint lemonade & shared the most delicious sandwich with French fries (of course). For dessert our all time favorite: chocolate chip cookie! I'm so grateful God sent us this little girl. I feel like I've known her forever, it's the craziest thing, like she's always been a part of me.
We did a little photoshoot to model our new fall Little Lucca Love outfits for my sister's handmade clothing line. If you're not following her on Instagram yet then you definitely should! We're obsessed with all of it & cannot wait to show off the rest of it very soon! I plan to do an entire post dedicated to the new LLL fall line. She's adding leopard print for the next drop, CANNOT wait!!!
And then we have the simple days at home, with not much going on, and I do believe a nice dose of boredom is healthy for childhood. The quiet nothing going on type of days will spark creativity for both us. Did I mention she lives in a tutu?
And then there are the days we have lunch at Costco (their new vegan salad is my fave) & sample everything they have to offer. Anyone else think a trip to Costco is the most fun ever?
I hope your days are full of sunshine & rainbows!
