As Magnolia's body & mind grow like a flower, her personality is blooming. Her love for life, the excitement she has for the littlest of things, the way she'll jump up & down and say "yay, yay, yay!" about something she cannot wait to do, is probably the one thing right now that stops me in my tracks & has me looking up to say thank you God. We celebrated Ryan's birthday this weekend & she woke up with so much sparkle & shine & she was ready to celebrate her daddy. She probably told him Happy Birthday one hundred times, and she insisted on wearing a tutu, and she decorated the breakfast cinnamon rolls with an entire thing of sprinkles. Her bright + happy energy is contagious!
Splish-splashing in the cold pool water is definitely Magnolia's favorite summer activity. Honestly, I didn't expect her to enjoy the water as much as she does, she's kind of a scaredy-cat like me. The pool is our happy place! And it's even happier when my sisters & their babes join us.
Magnolia had her first dentist appointment this summer & she did fantastic. She was fearful, but as soon as she saw our hygienist she was willing to cooperate. Her first appointment was more for practice & to get comfortable, than anything else, and hopefully next time she'll be up for more.
With her cousins we took a few field trips to a local museum, an art center owned by Hallmark cards, & we also went to the drive-in movies. Seriously, so much freakin' fun this summer!!! Grateful for the #cousincrew that we have a total blast with every single time.
In the next week, I'm going to share some of our summer sunset concerts, slumber party with Addy girl, Little Lucca Love clothing collab with Aunt Mal, dance parties & fun with our Valentine Lollipop. Last night, we did mommy + me yoga at a local Wellness Studio and it's going to be our new Monday night thing!
Right now I'm reading the book Memory Making Mom & it's been a blessing full of inspiration & ideas to be the kind of mom that makes memories a tradition. I highly recommend it!
The brownies we've made twice already & they're organic with the best confetti pop icing. So so good! Ryan even requested them over a cake for his birthday.
