Our front room has already been designed in my head with a grand French gold leaner mirror, a blush pink velvet sofa with English turned legs, handwoven high pile rug, round coffee table, & accent chairs that will make any guest want to stay a little longer. It'll be 6-9 months before we can start on this space. We've got a big exterior project coming up this spring & our powder room renovation starts on Monday! Very excited to share those projects with you soon.
Magnolia & I decided to turn this wide open space into our yoga studio. We ordered two yoga mats and the cutest oil diffuser I've ever seen & TA DA!!!
Magnolia likes to wake us up at five am (sometimes even earlier) every morning & that is also our favorite time to get on the mats. The other morning we had Pandora Spa radio playing all through the house, the sun was just starting to come up, peppermint was diffusing, & we had the front door cracked for a light breeze while we did our yoga (in our pajamas). It was the most relaxing way to start the day & a routine we plan to keep. I think setting the mood is just as important. I keep the Spa radio playing from morning to night & it has definitely helped keep a cool & calm vibe going all day long.
We use YouTube for instructional yoga videos & our very favorite one for kids is this one with Alissa Kepas. The unicorn pose shooting kindness sparkles into the air makes us both smile really big! You can search YouTube for any type of yoga you may wish to do, for example, headaches, fertility/conception/IVF, deep relaxation, kids, you name it, you'll find something. And it's free!
