A Pink Valentine's Day

Magnolia thinks Valentine's Day is all about her puppy, Valentine Lollipop. To see the way she has made Valentine's Day into a special holiday all about her dog is just the cutest thing ever. And with a dog named after love day we had to go all out this year. We finally had the groomer make her cotton candy pink & every time I look at her I giggle inside. Magnolia thinks it's the coolest thing of all time & I'm certain she will remember this Valentine's Day for the rest of her life. I'm thinking we will keep her pink until Easter & then switch it up this summer and make her baby blue for the Kansas City Royals! We used Opawz color shampoo & it turned out exactly as I had hoped --- the perfect cotton candy pink!!!

Magnolia used her birthday money on this Opalhouse throw bed & now I think every little one needs one of these. The closer she can get to Doc McStuffins the better & cuddling by the fire with her pup is just the best.  They come in blue, blush, polka dot & some other fun colors. I kind of want the polka dot one for upstairs!

On Valentine's Day, we wore our matching pink Hunter boots & ran errands to get ready for our cozy night at home.

Before Ryan got home from work on V-day, these two had a little party in her playroom. Magnolia sang her Happy Birthday & gave her cake. And no, it wasn't her birthday, but Magnolia has been singing Happy Birthday to all of us since her party.

We ordered take-out Chinese from our favorite small town place & ate by candle light. We had a little chocolate mousse cake for dessert. It was a simple night full of love.

It's crazy how lighting some candles, playing music, with a little heart shaped dessert to enjoy after dinner can make an ordinary night a special one. These are the kind of nights that I hope Magnolia keeps in her heart forever & now I think we need to make an effort to do it like this more often.

I hope you had a very happy Valentine's Day with the ones you love.

xo
